Caney Valley Speedway has made a lot of changes for itís 2015 season. There will be 7 dates with Modified running at CVS starting March 20th with the 4th annual United States Modified Touring Series along with the Holley Iron Man Series featuring USRA Stock Cas & USRA B-Mods. CVS also has increased itís weekly purse in all classes and has 6 nights of $1000 to win, $200 to start for the DIRTcar Late Models. Gorby has brought fan favorites the OCRS Sprint Cars in for your enjoyment on 4 specials, along with bringing the MARS Series Late Models in for 3 different nights, and 2 nights with the POWRi Lucas Oil Midget Series.
July 4th falls on Sat. this year so what better way to celebrate than to catch some races and fireworks all in one. The 4th of July special will have the OCRS Sprint cars along with the best fireworks show around brought to you by Jakes Fireworks and Fireworks By Donnie.
This year will be the 6th year for the James House Memorial being held Aug. 1st with a Late Model purse of $4066 to win, $400 to start, and then CVSís 5th annual Octopless Oct. 3rd with the MARS Late Model and purse of $2000 to win $400 to start along with the POWRi Lucas Oil Midget Series.
Another change is adding the Sport Compact class and dropping the Micro class, and this year the B-Mods are USRA sanctioned.
CVS has scheduled their Awards Banquet already this year, which will be Fri. Dec. 11th at Short Creek Saloon in Caney, KS. Tickets can be purchased by anybody though out the season at the grandstand concessions for $20.
